Perfect Smile vs. Perfect Body
We live in a world where more of us than ever before want to look good, and more importantly, we want to feel good about the way we look. For better or worse, we live in a "nano" second society where people make judgements about who and what we are based on our appearance.
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry conducted a study to determine if people preferred a perfect smile or a perfect body. They found an overwhelming majority preferred a perfect smile. 80% of Americans surveyed said they would spend money to counteract the effects of aging. 62% of this group said they would choose to improve their teeth while 48% said they would choose to allocate their money towards weight loss. Almost 45% of Americans believe an attractive smile can battle the effects of getting older.
