This year “Home for the Holidays” has new meaning!

As this tumultuous year of 2020 comes to an end, we all hope there is light at the end of the Covid tunnel and in the not-too-distant future there will be some semblance of normalcy returning to our lives. My goal has always been to do whatever needs to be done to stay healthy, so when the pandemic is finally in the rearview mirror, I can resume a normal life. I consider myself fortunate: I’m healthy, those around me remain healthy, and I have been able to continue patient care in a safe environment. And thank you to all who have been so supportive.

For your convenience you can now use online scheduling for hygiene appointments from our website Even in our COVID-19 world, I realize that many of you are still very busy. My team and I hope that on-line scheduling will make it easier for you to manage your appointments.

For the past month we have been testing the digital Itero scanning technology. These scans allow us to capture and recreate your teeth and your bite in 3-D and use the digital information in both educational and clinical applications. Patients have been amazed to see what is actually happening in their mouths in ways they could never appreciate before. Moreover, this scanning technology gives us the opportunity to store the scans and compare them to future ones so we can identify any changes that may be occurring.

In November, 2020 I was interviewed by Janene Mecca for an article that appeared in Inside Dentistry a professional publication. In the article, “The Essential Piece,” I emphasized the importance of establishing trusting relationships with patients as an essential component in the doctor-patient relationship. I have always felt that mutual trust, understanding, and respect are the cornerstones of the doctor-patient relationship. These values are particularly important in our world today.

Finally, my team and I wish all of you an enjoyable holiday season and a happy and, what is more important, a healthy New Year.
